Join us for this workshop building on the introductory Kids & Race workshop, exploring race, power, and equity--and how to talk about all these complex issues with young children! 

Kids and Race is an ongoing program with two parts; it includes programming for adults and programming for children. For adults, the content has included recognizing racism in several forms, expert lectures on racial identity development in children, a presentation on how narratives are constructed along with how to build counter narratives, and practice scenarios for small group discussions. For children, the program involves age-appropriate lessons on recognizing how children of color are portrayed in society, as well as discussions and fun activities.
